We’re excited to announce that we’ll be attending the Freelance Camp Vancouver on September 15, 2012. Freelance is an “unconference style event for independent workers to connect, share knowledge and become better freelancers.” Basically, it’s a place for small business owners to connect and share successes, failures and best practices.
What is a Freelance Camp?
It’s a bit of an unusual event, as the schedule is decided in the morning so everyone can have a chance to vote for the topics. If you’d like to share your knowledge, this means you can lead a session. It’s a great way to connect with small business owners, plus you don’t need to be an expert to present! They encourage discussion among the group so we can all learn together.
(I’ve been informed that there will be no filiming of the event, so people can feel confident to ask their questions and discuss their concerns in a safe and intimate atmosphere.)
Learn About Inbound Marketing
If you’re interested in learning about inbound marketing for small businesses, and how you can attract more clients online for free, come find us and say hi. Chris and I will also be leading a session on inbound marketing (if enough people are interested, as the topics are voted in the morning), and we invite you to join us.
netlek is also happy to be one of the official sponsors for Freelance Camp Vancouver 2012. Everyone who comes to our session will have the chance to win a 1 year membership package ($850 value), plus we’re extending our beta program to Freelance Camp Vancouver attendees for $20/month until 2013. And if you love the beta, we’re giving our first customers special lifetime pricing.
