If a Facebook post lifespan is only 3 hours, and also, on average only 7-11% of your ‘likers’ will see your post… then doesn’t it make sense to post MORE than just 3 times a week?! I think it does! Apart from that, I liked the rest of your info 🙂

  The great thing about all of this is that you absolutely CAN make things completely outside the recommendations work. Can you make posting more often to FB work? Sure. That particular data was based on a study of over 2000 companies, and they found that the companies that performed best posted 3 times a week.
  
  There was actually a dramatic dropoff with companies that posted more often. It could be that the quality of the content dropped off in those cases, and people stopped following them? Or EdgeRank kicked in more often. There are a ton of factors to consider, far beyond the simple math of 3 x 3 hours. Doesn’t mean you can’t be an outlier. This was intended as a guide. A place to start for those asking ‘what should I do’. Start with these. Tweak from there.
